Jacquelyn Carberry is a children’s book author and illustrator. She was born and raised in Western New York and graduated from the State University of New York College at Buffalo. She currently lives in Hawaii.
Jacquelyn has worked in the newspaper industry for more than 15 years, and now works for a daily metro newspaper in Honolulu. She has worked in various aspects of the newsroom as a reporter, copy editor and designer.
She is a former features and entertainment reporter for her current paper, where she is now a page designer. She still writes on occasion for the features department, interviewing various musicians, comedians, actors and other entertainers.
Jacquelyn enjoys hiking, making ceramics in her spare time and being creative in general. She is also a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Hawaii chapter (SCBWI).
She owns a cat and a dog. Sometimes it is hard to say who owns who.
